A Message from John Bravman, President

Bucknell - President Letter image
Dear Lydia and Tom,

Each fall I welcome Bucknell’s new students, who arrive on campus filled with anticipation and possibility. And each spring I shake the hands of new graduates as they cross the Commencement stage, confident and excited to make their mark on the world. In moments like these and countless others in between, I see the transformative journey our students experience during their time at Bucknell — a journey made possible by the generosity of donors like you.

I am grateful for your investment in Bucknell’s endowment, which is the foundation of our ability to offer life-changing opportunities. Thanks to the Douglas K. Candland Fund for Animal Behavior, Douglas K. Candland Fund for the College of Arts & Sciences, Douglas K. Candland Fund for Civic Action, Douglas K. Candland Scholarship, John D. Dzurinko Memorial Scholarship and Douglas K. Candland Undergraduate Research Fund and other endowed gifts, our students develop the skills to pursue the answers to complex global problems, think critically about their responsibility to humanity, and pursue meaningful careers that drive progress and shape the future.

It is my pleasure to share this personalized endowment report, which details the impact and performance of your fund over the past year. By investing in Bucknell, you are not just supporting education — you are empowering the next generation of changemakers.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the University and our students.

’ray Bucknell,

John C. Bravman
President
